The role of the Ministry of Labour and Employment

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is the primary government agency responsible for ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. The Ministry of Labor and Employment is responsible for supervising the proper implementation of the Labor Law, adjudicating labor disputes, and administering the employment and welfare of workers. As the guardian of workers' rights and welfare in the Philippines, an important part of the mandate of the Ministry of Labour and Employment is to monitor and enforce mandatory employee benefits.
