The Republic of Poland (The Republic of Poland), referred to as Poland for short, with its capital Warsaw, is located in central Europe. It is adjacent to Germany in the west, bordered by the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the south, neighbored by Russia, Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine in the east, and bordering the Baltic Sea in the north.  

Poland is a moderately developed country and an important agricultural and industrial country with the largest population in Central and Eastern Europe. Poland is a member of the World Trade Organization, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the European Union.
